The Acalypha Hispida is originally from West Iran and Indonesia, but also in other tropical countries this plant is often wild.
The red cat tail likes to be in the light but prefers no full sun. It is a tropical room lime that likes sufficient humidity and warmth.
The Acalypha likes a moist potting soil but prefers no wet feet. This causes root rot. Keep a bit more moist during the growing season and the summer. Pour from below so that the flowers do not get wet.
The plant has finished flowering in the autumn, keeping the plant warm and moderately moist. Water a little more in the spring and spray regularly. You will see that the Acalypha will grow again.
The new shoots can be used to propagate the plant. Cut these shoots and put them in a pot at a temperature of + - 20 °, mixed the soil with a little sand.
If the cuttings are rooted, place the plant in a slightly cooler place to promote growth, then also use a house plant food regularly.
