Araucaria Heterophylla, is one of the most cultivated species within the genus Araucaria. In Dutch this plant is also called Kamerden or table net. Although the plant originally only appeared on the Norfolk, it is now grown worldwide.
Araucaria Hetereophylla is a popular plant in warmer regions such as Australia and Florida and is therefore also planted here on a large scale. This tree can also survive in coastal areas because it can easily tolerate salt and wind. With little sunlight, the plant will remain small, making it ideally suited as a houseplant.
The Araucaria is an easy to maintain plant but does not like to have wet feet. After watering, allow the soil to dry slightly and then water again. Do not give too much water in the winter in particular.
The location of the Araucaria is (half) shaded.
