Origin and care
The Dracaena is originally from the tropics of Asia and Africa. This plant, also called Dragon Blood Tree, is easy to maintain and therefore very suitable as a room and / or office plant. The ideal temperature is + - 20 degrees. Provide reasonable watering during the summer, but make sure the soil does not get too wet, "between watering by allowing it to dry slightly" otherwise leaf loss will occur.
Spraying the Dracaena is not necessary, but it promotes health. It works preventively against vermin and helps remove dust.
Dracaenas do not need much light, 3 hours a day is enough. Only the more colorful specimens may stand a little lighter compared to their dark-leaved peers.
Green plants generally require less nutrition compared to flowering plants. Do not feed during the winter. Only start with this in the spring. Once every two months is enough. Look for the correct dosage on the package but give less than more!
The Dracaena Riki is known as one of the most air-purifying plants and you often see it in offices or public business premises.
