The origin of the Ficus is from Southeast Asia, you will find this plant mainly in Indonesia. He belongs to the Moraceae family (Mulberry family).
Give the Ficus an even environment with lots of light all year round, but avoid direct sunlight.
With sudden changes in temperature, yellowing and leaf loss may occur. Preferably place in a place with a relatively high humidity. Water the plant generously, but avoid a too wet or too dry root ball, this also causes leaf loss. Spray the plant regularly or wipe with moisture. Every year new potting soil promotes and extends the life of the plant. Possibly repotting once every 2 to 3 years.
If the ficus grows too large you can prune the plant "the best in spring or summer" with a pair of secateurs, to stop the bleeding afterwards you can use the best wood ash.
Lots of light, not in the bright sun.
Ideal temperature 18 - 20º C.
Keep moist, potting soil must not dry out.
Do not leave excess water in the pot / saucer.
Fertilize twice a month.
Transfer to larger pot every year.
The Ficus is air purifying!
Don't like drafts.
