The Kalanchoe is originally from Madagascar.

The Kalanchoe is one of the best-kept, flowering pot plants. The plant can be either in direct sunlight or in a dark place. Even outside on the terrace or hanging on the pergola, the Kalanchoe will bloom for a long time.

If the plant is in direct sunlight, the leaves will turn slightly redder and the flower color will become more intense. If the plant is in a reasonably dark place, the flower color will become less intense. Especially in the winter period a light-filled environment is recommended.

The Kalanchoe is easy to care for. Do not give the plant much water and let the pot tip between the waterings dry out somewhat. Plant nutrition is not necessary.
With a damp root ball is the Kalanchoe radiator test. The plant is also well suited for outdoor use, provided there is no night frost.

When the plant has finished flowering, you can try to let the plant bloom again. To do this, you must remove the faded flower clusters and stalks. The plant then needs a minimum dark period of 14 hours per day for the construction of the inflorescence for 4 to 6 weeks. Three weeks later the plant will bloom again.

Kalanchoe for a wonderful summer feeling.

Sterke punten:
