Lemon geranium

The lemon geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is an important supplier of the perfume industry. The leaf smells deliciously for roses and lemon. Beautiful plant with nice flowers, perfect for the terrace or balcony! Mosquitoes and flies spontaneously flee the smell.

This odor geranium can also be used as a houseplant or as a greenhouse plant.


The Pelargonium can easily be propagated by cuttings in the spring. The plant is usually less beautiful after a few years and therefore no longer grows well. Young cuttings grow into beautiful new plants in one season.


Pelargonium Graveolens is not known as toxic and is not dangerous to humans, but it can cause problems for cats and dogs eating green.


The fragrant lemon geranium is not about the smell of the flowers but about the fragrant leaves. The leaf contains a lot of volatile oil, which grinds to lemon in Pelargonium graveolens. By crushing the leaf lightly between your fingers, the fragrance is released. The smell has a deterrent effect on mosquitoes.
