Lidcactus or Christmas cactus

The origin of this member cactus is Brazilie. The plants grow in the trees and require little water. In the winter the plant can be put in the sun and in the summer a bit more protected. To have the Schlumbergera (after flowering) bloom again, it must have short days from the beginning of September. Put the plant in an unlit area, for example in a bedroom. After a month you clearly see button development. After another month, the Schlumbergera will again be fully in bloom.

Extra tip: if the faded flowers are removed regularly, the plant is stimulated to allow other flower buds to grow.
