The musa Originates from Australia and Southeast Asia and is related to the Musaceae.
The banana plant is originally from the tropics and therefore loves moisture.
Spraying the leaves regularly is highly appreciated by the banana plant. The Musa requires a lot of water but, like so many other plants, should not remain with the roots in the water. Keep an eye on this. The weak leaves mean too much water.
If possible, also place the plant outside in the rain. In this way, dust and vermin are easily removed.
The banana tree likes to be in a bright spot. If you can place the banana plant a few meters from the window, this will promote new leaf growth.
You can safely repot the banana plant every year. It is a fast grower. The larger the pot, the better the health and thus the ability to grow.
The Musa grows quickly and therefore needs a fair amount of nutrition. Use standard houseplant food for this.
