Pampas grasses are native to South America and are considered one of the most beautiful ornamental grasses. The grass can bloom with beautiful, elongated panicles in a white color. The long, narrow leaves complete the graceful appearance of this plant. Pampas grass is hardy to -10 degrees Celsius and is a fast grower. This grass does well in borders, but is also beautiful on its own in a large pot.
Pampas grass can grow quickly and become very large, especially when planted in the open ground. It is advisable to prune Pampas grass in February or March. Prune the plant back to 30cm above the ground. This strong plant is green even in winter. Only in very severe winters can the plant freeze above ground. If this happens, it almost always sprouts again in the spring. The plants can grow considerably and the long, narrow and especially graceful "leaves" can reach a height of 3 meters.
When delivered, the plants have a height of 25 to 40cm (measured incl. pot). The plants are delivered in pots with a diameter of 9cm.
