Product Information
The Pernettya mucronata is one of the most beautiful berry-bearing shrubs. It is an evergreen shrub native to Argentina and Chile, where it is especially common in volcanic areas. In May-June the plant blooms with small, white-pink flowers, which are followed by colorful berries in autumn. The plants are dioecious, which means that the female plants that bear the berries need a male plant for fertilization. The Pearlberry creates a cozy, autumnal atmosphere in the garden or balcony, providing color during the darker days. The Pearlberry grows berries until November, so you can enjoy it all fall. Because it retains its leaves through the winter, it provides year-round color even without the berries. The Pernettya White grows beautiful, snow-white berries, and comes in a 17cm diameter pot.

Care
The Pernettya mucronata likes slightly acidic to acidic soil. The plant likes to stand in semi-shade or sun and the soil should always be moist. The plant is hardy to -15 degrees and is evergreen. Furthermore, the Pernettya does not really need pruning, but to keep the plant in shape, the long shoots can be shortened in the spring.

Plant height
When delivered, the plant has a height of 25-40cm, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are delivered in a 17cm diameter nursery pot.
