Origin

This Pilea is originally from China. It is a trendy and very popular plant that is also easy to care for.

Care

The Pilea likes a little water regularly. Keep the plant slightly moist but don't let it get too dry. Check this by putting a finger in the soil every now and then. Also preferably no wet feet (root rot).

Location

The Pilea likes to be in the light, but especially in the summer beware of too much direct sunlight. The young leaves can then shrivel. If the plant is too dark, you can see this by the discoloration (yellow) of the leaves. It is wise to look for that somewhere else.

Repotting

To give the plant room to grow, you can repot it over time so that the plant can make new cuttings. You can do this by repotting the plant in a pot that is 20% larger than the current pot.

Nutrition

The plant does not need much nutrition, you can choose to do this, but in any case do not give much.
