The standard rose is a very decorative rose that grows on a stem, which gives it enormous added value for every garden and terrace. Roses have been a symbol of love, friendship and atmosphere for centuries. The beautiful, full flowers of these compact standard roses are an eye-catcher in your garden with their warm colour. These standard roses have many large, full buds and strong flowers. The standard rose can be on the terrace, but also in the garden. The plant also comes into its own in a pot or on the balcony. The leaf is glossy dark green. The varieties are very disease resistant, slightly fragrant and flower until the first frost.
These standard roses can be grown indoors (in a light place) or in a sunny place outdoors. Avoid bright and direct sunlight in summer. Filtered sunlight is recommended. The best place for the standard rose is a spot in partial shade. Furthermore, do not let the root ball dry out; water the plant regularly. Water every day in the summer in direct sunlight. For best results, give rose fertilizer once a month. After flowering of the standard rose, the plant can be pruned up to 5 centimeters above the trunk. This leaves a compact sphere. The plant then starts to grow again and blooms again after two months.
