Product Information
Bring your living room into a tropical atmosphere with this beautiful houseplant! The Strelitzia Reginae, better known in the Netherlands by the name Bird of Paradise Plant, is native to South Africa. The Strelitzia Reginae is a huge eye-catcher because of its large pointed leaves and beautiful orange and blue ornamental flowers. The mature height of the bird of paradise plant in the house is about 150cm. The Strelitzia is grown outdoors and therefore may have some spots or leaf cracks, this is part of this plant.
The Strelitzia Reginae prefers a place with a lot of light. Because of this the plant needs a lot of water (pay attention to drainage to prevent root rot). Give less water during the winter, the soil is allowed to dry out regularly. In addition, the plant can also be kept on the terrace in spring and summer. The plant is not winter hardy so should be brought back inside in October at the latest.
Plant height
Upon delivery, the plant has a height of 25 to 40cm (measured incl. pot). The plant comes in a pot with a diameter of 9cm.
