Three different Tillandsia air plants on a decorative spiral. The Tillandsia is a family of the Bromeliads and has more than 400 species. It is one of the most instagrammed plants at the moment! The name comes from the Swedish botanist Elia Tillands, who hated water, just like the Tillandsia. The plants originate from the forests, deserts and mountains of South and Central America. Almost all Tillandsia are epiphytes, which means that they have no or hardly any roots but they grow on trees or rocks. Water and nutrients are absorbed from the air by the scales on the leaves, therefore, the Tillandsias are also often called air plants.
When placing the Tillandsia in a living room or office, they only need to be sprayed on with water every now and then. In damp spaces such as a bathroom or kitchen, Tillandsia grows by itself. With a little love and moist air you can bring a beautiful piece of nature into your home. The possibilities with air plants are endless, and they are often used for creative purposes.
Upon delivery, the plants have a height of 5 to 15cm. The plants are deliverd on a decorative spiral.
