Tillandsia Magic Ball
The reason for this name is because it changes over time, in the beginning it is completely green, after a while the ball becomes a bit redder and even flowers appear on it. When these flowers have finished blooming, the bulb will turn green again and the whole process can start all over again! So Magic Ball.
These decorative and often bizarre plants are only found in the New World (America). Most Tillandsias grow, often together with orchids, on trees or cacti. They are so-called epiphytes because with their exceptional gift they crystallize the necessary moisture and food from the air. They therefore do not require a breeding ground to live in, which makes this Tillandsia quite easy to maintain.
From the beginning of June to the end of September, Tillandsias can simply be hung outside or placed in partial shade. This plant is considered one of the strongest plants in the world. They can tolerate almost all large temperature differences from about 4.C to 45.C. Tillandsias fit perfectly as decoration, even in the most modern interior. The Tillandsia is also an environmentally friendly plant. It is not sprayed with pesticides. Just a tip for maintenance: spray with water twice a week.
