The bulbs can be planted in September-December for beautiful tulips in spring.
Care
The best time to plant the bulbs is when the leaves begin to fall from the trees. The soil will have cooled sufficiently by then. The tulips can be planted at a depth of about 10-15cm in loose soil. The bulbs should be planted 10cm apart from each other. Tulips like a spot in the sun or semi-shade. When planted in solid soil, tulips can withstand all weather conditions. When planted in a pot, it is best to place them in a cold shed during extreme frosts.
