The Yucca Rostrata is a very exclusive plant native to northern Mexico. The plant grows there at high altitude in the mountains. The yucca trunk grows about 2 cm per year and the plants are between 15 and 40 years old depending on their height. The lower leaf that dies hardens and forms around the trunk to protect the plant from the cold in winter. The yucca rostrata can bloom and gives a beautiful white cluster of flowers.
The Yucca Rostrata is a very strong plant that requires little care. He can be outside as well as inside. If it is in the open ground, it can handle up to 20 degrees below zero, only if it remains in the pot it must be packed in severe frost. Plant needs little water and can be in a shady spot or in full sun.
