The Bougainvillea is a beautiful, showy climbing plant with colourful papery bracts. There is nothing better than a beautiful brightly coloured Bougainvillea growing against a light wall which makes the colours stand out even more. This Bougainvillea brings the real summer feeling with its vibrant pink colour. Originally from Brazil, the Bougainvillea is also very common in southern Europe, making it a true Mediterranean plant. To keep its beautiful colours at their best, the plant needs plenty of sunlight. The more sunlight it gets on its leaves, the brighter the colours will become.
Care
The Bougainvillea needs sunny weather to flower beautifully. If the plant is in full sun, do water it sufficiently during the hot summer months, even every day during the hottest period. Always make sure that the water can drain away through holes in the bottom of the pot, as the plant does not like wet feet. In full soil, this is of course not necessary, but the disadvantage of this is that it is difficult to bring the plant inside in winter. This is in fact necessary to guarantee flowering again next year, as the Bougainvillea is not hardy.

On delivery, the plant has a height of 50 to 60 cm (measured incl. pot). The plant comes in a pot with a diameter of 17cm.
