Salix Flamingo is a beautiful, deciduous willow from Japan. The plant immediately catches the eye because of the beautiful white-pink color of its leaves in spring, making it look like it is blooming! Even after leaf loss in fall, the branches of the Salix steal the show thanks to its striking bright orange color. Salix Flamingo ensures that the garden is colorful all year round.
Care
Salix Flamingo is a hardy plant that can withstand up to -15°C. It can grow up to 3 meters high and two meters wide. It is recommended to prune the Salix every year in March to maintain the compact full shrub. This will also ensure that the new leaves will have their typical pink color. Furthermore, Salix prefers moist soil, but make sure its roots are not constantly under water. Do not put the little tree in full sun, as this may burn its beautiful leaves.
Plant height
When delivered, the plants have a height of 60 to 80cm (measured incl. pot). The plants are delivered in pots with a diameter/diameter of 17cm.
