Acer conspicuum 'Red Flamingo' is a snakeskin maple that can be enjoyed all year round. In winter, it is the young red twigs with white veining. In spring, the young shoots and petioles are bright red and the young leaves are then mottled white, pink and green. In summer it is an attractive plant with gracefully arching twigs and in autumn the leaves turn a beautiful yellow. In short, a colourful shrub or small tree that can grow to a height of about 450 cm.

Care
Japanese maples can best be planted from March to early October. During this period, the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are strong plants but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burning. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.

Upon delivery, the plant has a height of 50 to 60cm (measured pot included). The plant is delivered in a pot with a diameter of 19cm.
