Productinformation

The beautiful Acer Beni Maiko has a spherical growth habit with deeply incised leaves. The maple actually colours throughout the year, in spring fire-red to red-pink leaves, towards summer the leaves colour into blue-green with red veins and in autumn the maple turns back to its red colour. This maple is also very suitable for a compact garden as it is a slow grower.

Care
Japanese Maples can best be planted from March until the beginning of November. In this period the soil is warm and the plants can root well. Japanese Maples are strong plants, but in a windy location the leaves can be damaged. So put the Acer in a sheltered place. The plant prefers a spot in the semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can cause the roots to dry out, which can lead to leaf loss and burning. A Japanese Maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy to -20°C and will sprout again in March with beautiful new leaves.

Plantheight

Upon delivery, the plant has a height of 60 to 70cm (measured pot included). The plant is delivered in a pot with a diameter of 19cm.
