More information

This beautiful dwarf Japanese maple is an ornament for any garden, but also does well in a pot or container on a terrace or balcony. This slow-growing plant forms a branched upright shrub with pink, white and green variegated leaves. Its autumn colour is a beautiful rose-red. The plant is hardy and deciduous.

Care
Japanese maples can best be planted from March to early October. During this period, the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are strong plants but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burning. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.

Size
The plant has a height of 50-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
