Product Information
Acer shirasawanum 'Moonrise' is one of the many varieties of the Japanese maple. This Japanese maple also has beautiful colors that you can decorate your garden with. Towards spring, the Acer gets orange leaves in a special shape. During the summer the leaves turn bright yellow to turn red-orange in the fall. This mix of colors makes it a special plant to see and a nice addition to your garden.

Care
The Moonrise is a calm grower with a narrow upright habit which keeps the plant compact. Therefore you can also grow this tree in a pot or smaller garden.
Japanese Maples can best be planted from March to early November. During this period, the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese Maples are strong plants but in a windy location the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered place. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots and leaves, which can lead to leaf loss. A Japanese Maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again with beautiful new leaves starting in March.

Plant height
Upon delivery, the plant has a height of 40 to 50cm (measured incl. pot). The plant comes in a pot with a diameter of 19cm.
