Product Information
Bring your garden, patio or balcony into an Oriental atmosphere with these beautifully colored Japanese Maples. Japanese Maples are known for their beautifully colored leaves and are real eye-catchers. Each tree has its own beautiful colors and leaves that will give your garden plenty of variety. The plants are hardy and can therefore go straight into the garden. Plant them in full soil or in pots, separately or as a group.

In the set there are 3 different species:

Acer palm. 'Atropurpureum'
This beautiful Japanese Maple is an ornament for any garden, but also does well in pot or container on patio or balcony. This plant forms a branched upright shrub with dark red incised leaves that give a beautiful autumn color in the fall.

Acer palm. Orange Dream'
Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream' is a tall Japanese Maple with yellow/orange leaves. This Japanese Maple is remarkable because it grows more upright than most other Japanese maples. It can reach a height of 3 meters but you can prune it easily.

Acer palm. 'Beni Maiko'
Acer palmatum 'Beni Maiko' is another beautiful Acer species. In spring, the wrinkled leaves of this Japanese maple are fiery red, later in the season they change to bleached pinkish red. From mid-summer, the leaf is more blue-green with red veins.

Care
Japanese Maples are best planted from March to early November. In this period the soil is warm and the plants can root well. Japanese Maples are strong plants but in a windy place the leaves can get damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots which can lead to leaf loss and can burn the leaves.

Plant height
When delivered, the plants have a height of 60 to 70cm (measured incl. pot). The plants are delivered in pots with a diameter of 19cm.
