The bougainvillea is a beautiful, eye-catching climber with colourful paper leaves. What could be better than placing the bougainvillea in front of a bright wall to show off the colours even more? With its bright orange-red colour, it is a plant that gives a real summer feeling. Originally, the bougainvillea comes from Brazil. However, it is also widespread in Southern Europe, which makes it a true Mediterranean plant. To get the beautiful colours, the plant needs a lot of sunlight. The more sunlight that falls on its leaves, the more vibrant the colours become.
Care
The bougainvillea needs sunny weather to flower beautifully. However, if the plant is in full sun, it needs plenty of water, daily during the hottest part of the summer months. Always make sure that the water can drain through holes in the bottom of the pot, because the plant does not like wet feet. In full soil this is of course not necessary, but the disadvantage of full soil is that it is difficult to bring the plant indoors in winter. Overwintering the bougainvillea is necessary so that it will flower again next year, as the plant is not hardy.

On delivery, the plant has a height of 50 to 60 cm (including measured pot). The plant is delivered in a pot with a diameter of 17 cm.
