This cool Calathea species is called the Calathea Insignis. Besides this plant having beautiful green-red leaves with drawings, it also has another specialty. The leaves of the Calathea move by themselves. The plant closes its leaves in the evening to open them again in the morning. This can produce a rustling sound. As a result, the plant is also known as 'the living plant'. The Calathea is family of the Marantaceae. The plant comes from the jungles of South America and the Amazon. Care
The Calathea Insignis is a houseplant that needs a relatively large amount of water. It is best to water the plant small amounts regularly.
