Product Information
The Canna 'Cannova' Red creates a tropical atmosphere in your garden or balcony. These special plants bloom with beautiful, eye-catching flowers in a popping red color. The Canna originates from Central and South America, but is now also very popular in Southern Europe because of its colorful flowers that bloom abundantly throughout the summer. What is special about the Canna is that they are not only found in warm countries. In fact, they are found in almost every climate, even above the Arctic Circle. In fact, as long as the days in summer are long enough that they get 6-8 hours of sunshine a day, they can grow almost anywhere. The Canna is therefore ideally suited to cooler summer climates. The Canna Cannova Red blooms from May through October and can grow up to 120cm tall.

Care for
The Canna Cannova flowers longer by removing spent flowers with the stem and cutting just above the ground. Fertilize the Canna regularly, and make sure it gets enough water. The soil should not dry out, because Canna is originally a riparian plant. Because of this, it should always stand in moist soil. Canna Cannova is not hardy. Dig up tubers in October after the plant has finished flowering, cut off all loose roots and remove all foliage. Take a bucket or pot of potting soil and bury the tubers in it. Put them in a cool, frost-free place to overwinter. Water every week, even in winter Cannas should not dry out. In March they can go outside again so they can grow again.

Plant height
The plant has a delivery height of 35 cm to 45 cm (measured incl. pot). The plant comes in a pot with a diameter of 17 cm.
