Product Information
The Chamaerops Humilis is one of the most common palm species in northern Europe, and is also the only palm native to Europe. Therefore, the Chamaerops Humilis is also called the European fan palm. It is a very strong and compact palm, but it grows several cuttings in addition to its own trunk, allowing the palm to increase in width at a young age. In several southern European countries, the palm can grow up to 3 meters high in nature with dozens of trunks! It is a beautiful and low maintenance palm to put in the garden or terrace in the full ground or in a pot.

Care
The Chamaerops Humilis prefers a sunny and light position, and a well-drained soil. The plant can withstand heat and drought well, but water regularly in hot summers. Make sure that water can drain out of the pot, so plant the Chamaerops in a pot with holes. Furthermore, the palm is hardy to -15 degrees Celsius, which means you should bring the Chamaerops inside if you expect extreme frost. Due to its slow and compact growth the Chamaerops Humilis is an ideal tub plant, although of course you can also plant the palm in full soil.

Plant height
The plants are 50 to 60 cm tall on delivery (measured including pot). The plants are delivered in pots with a diameter of 15cm.
