The Citrus Calamondin mini orange is a beautiful ornamental tree that resembles a mandarin with a lovely sweet-smelling white blossom that is abundant in the spring. This Citrus Calamondin is a cross between the Mandarin and the Citrus Kumquat. On this citrus tree grow small round, orange fruits that are about 4 cm in diameter. In Latin countries, the fruits of this symmetrical, compact plant are known as "agri-dulce" (sweet and sour) because the small, juicy orange fruits of the Calamondin have a bitter taste at first but then a deliciously sweet taste. The Calamondin can be eaten as a fruit, but is more often used in various dishes and liqueurs. This wonderfully fragrant plant can also be placed as a houseplant.
Care
Citrus trees prefer a light, sunny location, moderate water and regular fertilization. It may take a year for the fruits to ripen, but they are well worth the wait. As for location, put the plants outside in full sun from mid-March to October, but let them get used to the sun easily in the first few weeks because of leaf burn. Because the Calamondin is not hardy, it should be placed indoors in winter. Reduce watering in winter, but do not let the plant dry out completely. Too much or too little water can cause the fruit to fall off.

When delivered, the plant has a height of 35 to 40cm (measured incl. pot). The plant comes in a pot with a diameter / diameter of 14cm.
