Give your garden, terrace or balcony an oriental atmosphere with these beautifully colored Japanese maples. Japanese maples are known for their beautifully colored leaves and are real eye-catchers. Each tree has its own beautiful colors and leaves. This set contains 4 different types of Japanese maples that will provide a lot of variety in the garden due to their different colors. The plants are winter hardy and can therefore go straight into the garden. Plant them in the ground or in pots, separately or as a group. The Japanese maples grow to different heights and can therefore fit perfectly together. The set contains 4 different varieties: Acer palmatum Orange Dream, Acer palmatum Atropurpureum, Acer palmatum Butterfly and Acer palmatum Going Green.
Care
Japanese Maples can best be planted from March until the beginning of October. In this period the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are strong plants but in a windy location the leaves can be damaged. So put the Acer in a sheltered place. The plant prefers a spot in the semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can cause the roots to dry out, which can lead to leaf loss and burning. A Japanese Maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again in March with beautiful new leaves.
