The Codiaeum Iceton is known for its changing appearance. The leaf of this plant starts out very light yellow colour and slowly changes into a dark green leaf with red accents. Usually the bottom leaves are darker than those on top, which gives it a really special appearance.. This beautiful, large plant originates from Malaysia, Australia and Indonesia. In its natural habitat, this plant can grow up to three metres tall. Fortunately, its growth is limited in our climate and the Codiaeum Iceton also fits nicely in a living room.
Care
Place the Codiaeum in a sunny spot. The wonder shrub needs at least five hours of sun a day. Place the plant near a window facing north east or west. If the plant is placed near a south-facing window, it is recommended to place the plant two feet from the window because otherwise the plant will receive too much direct sunlight. However, with too little light, the leaves may fall off or lose their beautiful color. A fluctuating temperature can also cause the plant to lose its leaves. This plant does not like a drafty environment. Water the plant sufficiently
