Productinformation

Acer palmatum 'Orange Lace' is a rare 'limited edition' Japanese maple! This lovely little Acer tree is great for pots and containers on the terrace or balcony. When the leaves first appear in spring, they are a striking dark orange. As the leaves get older, they will gradually turn lighter green. In autumn, they change back to beautiful vibrant colours before losing their leaves revealing dark brown stems. This Acer gives you something to look forward to all year round. When given enough space, the Acer Orange Lace can grow up to 2 metres tall.

Care
Japanese Maples are best planted from March to early October. During this period the soil is warm and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese Maples are strong plants but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in semi-shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burning.
A Japanese Maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.

Plantheight

Upon delivery, the plant has a height of 60 to 70cm (measured pot included). The plant is delivered in a pot with a diameter of 19cm.
