The Magnolia Stellata, also known as the Stermagnolia, is a deciduous, wide-growing shrub/small tree that can reach a considerable height. The plant is a real asset in your garden because of its beautiful blooms. In April, the plant blooms with its distinctive white star-shaped flowers. The flowers are not only very beautiful, they also give off a wonderful fragrance. The sturdy, medium-sized green leaves appear when the plant has finished blooming. The plant is deciduous and non-toxic.
Care
The Magnolia Stellata prefers a spot with partial shade in good water-permeable humous soil. The Magnolia Stellata is fully hardy, but requires a sheltered location due to freezing of flower buds. The flowers can also be covered in winter.
