Create an oasis of calm in the garden with Miscanthus 'Kleine Silberspinne'. There is nothing more relaxing than listening to the gentle rustle of this grass in the breeze. The Miscanthus Kleine Silberspinne is a large, pole-forming ornamental grass that looks great in any garden. The ornamental grass has an upright growth habit with arching leaves. The leaves are green in color with a silvery-white center stripe. In autumn the leaves turn a yellow-orange color. Miscanthus blooms from September through November. Red panicles then rise above the grass. Later in the year, the panicles fade to a more white-silver color.
Care
Miscanthus 'Kleine Silberspinne' can be planted in any good garden soil. Furthermore, care is not very difficult, the grass prefers a sunny spot and well-drained soil. It is recommended to prune the grass in March so that it grows back nicely. The flowering time of the grass is from September to October. Eventually the Miscanthus 'Kleine Silberspinne' can grow up to 200 cm tall! Furthermore, the Miscanthus is not toxic to animals.
