Miscanthus "Zebrinus" is a decorative grass with long narrow upright leaves. This grass is distinguished from other Miscanthus species by the cream and horizontal stripes on the leaves. Because of this, it is also called Zebra grass. The grass blooms pile and bronze-colored panicles from September through October, which is an incredibly cool sight during winter in the garden.
Care
Miscanthus 'Zebrinus can be planted in any good garden soil. Furthermore, care is not very difficult, the grass prefers a sunny spot and well-drained soil. It is recommended to prune the grass in March so that it grows back nicely. The flowering time of the grass is from September to October. Eventually the Miscanthus 'Zebrinus' can grow up to 200cm tall! Furthermore, the Prachtriet is non-toxic to animals.
