The Olive tree, officially Olea Europaea, is the oldest tree known to history. With their silvery leaves, gnarled trunks and clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring, these distinctive trees are wonderful eye-catchers in the garden during all seasons. It is a beautiful evergreen tree that adds a Mediterranean touch to the garden or balcony. Olive trees are very hardy, making them ideal for colder regions.
Care
Olive trees are ideal for any garden. The trees can be planted in pots and placed on the patio, or they can be planted in the ground. Olive trees prefer a sunny location and do not like wet feet. So when the tree is planted in a pot, make sure the pot has holes at the bottom so excess water can drain away. Water the Olea regularly in spring and summer. Pruning is not necessary for now, but is best done in early spring or in the fall (around October). Before the olives grow, the Olea blooms in spring with small creamy white and yellow flowers.
Plant height
When delivered, the plants have a height of 50 to 60cm (measured incl. basket). The plants are delivered in baskets with a diameter of 14cm.
