You're always in the right place with a Philodendron in your home! This striking houseplant is native to the tropical rainforests of South and Central America and is easy to care for. It is best known for its beautiful, sturdy leaves. Its roots may be in the tropics, but it does fine in our living room in a slightly darker spot, which makes it a very easy plant to place. This Philodendron Scandens comes with a moss stick that it grows against, making the plant a special feature in any room.
Care
The Philodendron does not need too much water. It is best to keep the potting soil moist, but not wet. You can give the plant a little water each time while checking the soil every now and then to make sure it is not getting too wet. This way you make sure that a layer of water does not build up at the roots. Are the leaves turning yellow? This is often a sign that the plant is getting too much water. In this case, reduce the amount of water. The Philodendron prefers a spot in semi-shade.
