The Phoenix Roebelenii, also known as dwarf date palm, is native to Southeast Asia, but is now found all over the world. The palm immediately gives your living room an exotic look that makes you feel like you are on a tropical vacation all year round. The dwarf date palm is not only very beautiful, it is also extra air-purifying. In the spring and summer months the plant can also be placed outside. In warmer climates the palm can be placed outside all year round. The plant comes in a height of 80-90cm (measured including pot).
Care
The Phoenix Roebelenii likes a lot of water. So make sure that the plant is always moist, especially in summer so check the soil regularly. The palm prefers a spot in full sun, for example 1-2 meters from a south-facing window or directly in front of an east or west-facing window. The plant will get some brown leaves on the underside, but this is nothing to worry about. This is a natural process where the plant will make new leaves at the top and shed the lower ones. You can simply cut off the lower brown leaves.
