Physocarpus opulifolius 'Lady in Red' is a medium-sized deciduous hornwort. It is a multi-stemmed shrub with an upright and spreading form. The leaves turn purple in spring and summer, and in fall they turn purple-red with a hint of bronze. This bladderwort blooms from May to July with white, to pinkish-white fragrant flowers that attract bees and butterflies.
Care
Physocarpus 'Lady in Red' likes a position in full sun or semi shade, well-drained, humus-rich soil with a preference for slightly acidic soil. The plant is well hardy.
