Prunus Persica 'Saturn' is the best-known flat peach in northern Europe. In early spring, the peach tree blooms beautifully with pale pink flowers. After flowering, the peaches emerge. These peaches have a distinctive appearance in that they are flat and a yellow-red color with a velvety skin. They have white pulp and have a nice juicy and sweet taste. The fruit can be picked and eaten around August. The fruit of this tree is a delicious snack and you can eat it with or without the peel.
Care
The Prunus Persica is a hardy peach tree that can be planted in pots or directly in the ground. The peach tree likes a sheltered position in sun or semi-shade. The warmer and sunnier the garden plant stands the riper the fruit will be. During the winter months, the peach tree will lose its leaves. Furthermore, it is important to prune the tree during the summer and not during the winter. Cut off the small branches to make room for the fruit. Eventually, the Peach Tree can grow up to 200cm tall and 150cm wide!
