This giant Bird of Paradise plant is a beautiful houseplant for any interior with its large and sturdy grayish leaves. The Strelitzia is one of the most exclusive flowering houseplants. This beautiful, large Bird of Paradise plant is originally from South Africa. The exotic plants are real eye-catchers with flowers reminiscent of birds of paradise.
Care
The Bird of Paradise plant prefers a position with a lot of light. Because of this the plant does need a lot of water (pay attention to drainage to prevent root rot). The plant can also be kept on the terrace in spring and summer. The plant is not winter hardy so it should be brought back inside in October at the latest.
