More information

The hibiscus finds its origin in China and found its way to Western-Europe via India, Syria and Turkey. It is safe to say that this plant made quite the impression on its way over, you can even find Hibiscus motives on the Taj Mahal! The Hibiscus blossoms later than most other blossoming shrubs: it blossoms from July to Autumn. This means that when other plants start losing their colourful flowers, the Hibiscus will bring new, bright colours to your autumn garden. In this mix you can find the following Hibiscus types: Oiseau Bleu, Hamabo and Woodbridge. Oiseau Bleu The Hibiscus Oiseau Bleu blossoms from August to September in abundance with gorgeous blue purple flowers. The plant is easy to care for and can grow in any good garden soil. It prefers a sunny spot, but also grows well in the semi shade. The plant can be pruned back strongly in early spring. Hamabo The Hibiscus Hamabo blossoms from July to October with striking pink-white flowers, with a bloodred heart and pink spots. The plant prefers to be in the full sun, but can also grow well on a semi shaded spot. The Hibiscus Hamabo doesn’t require much care. The oldest branches can be removed after the blossoming period. Woodbridge The Hibiscus Woodbridge naturally lives in warm holiday countries. Despite the plants coming from a warmer climate, they can grow very well in Western-European gardens. It blossoms from July to September with striking bright pink flowers that will steal the show in any Autumn garden.
